the description exactly matches a rules and guidance sheet I have posted above my desk. the first item is" Brief all sources before any trades- DB, Bloomberg, Pfenning). its been especially interesting as we move through this new paradigm (data releases have not much effect, sentiment and $ strength as a new risk aversion currency etc). hard enough to figure out on your own!

Day does'nt seem the same with out it. It's my little 5 Min. chat with my mentor. I put the DB on a pedal stool.

This is the one place that I can actually trust the comments! My trading life line on which I can form trading decisions.

it simply changes your perspective, and makes you realize that not all that is written elsewhere is true or good intentioned...

DBriefings makes one know that what is read, is good intentioned. and always without a bias or a hidden agenda. that is now a days worth a lot!

tnks for your efforts Dirk, although i must use this space to please ask you to re-establish NY session short briefings... 3 lines, that is all we ask, just go ahead and type whatever article you liked, or thoughs you had on the day... as well as any sitt account drastic changes you could have made.

(guys, a bit of peer pressure here please hahaha- NY session briefings were great!)

regards!

I think what we need is someone from that time-zone doing a forum based early morning (for him) briefing.  I'll then be able to comment or add from time to time.

Dirk's DB's beat any other similar commentary on what is happening in the world that affects forex. Without it I kind of get withdrawal symptoms!

Dirks daily briefing is my primary window into the FX world. It is the primary source of information that I use for general trading decisions and evaluating my own views. DAD

I always look forward to Dirks DB, and get disappointed the few times it has been missing. It put the market in perspective, and has a freshness that some of the analysts I am reading are lacking.
Having said that, I still have to make up my own mind, off course.

Fantastic "distillation" of the current moods and opinions out there. It cuts out a lot of the "noise" and lets you focus on whats relevant. Even when the DB's basic message is "Im not sure, Im gonna wait", its much more helpful than most.

Dirk's DB is definitely the most important source for FX market analysis and especially for getting the market sentiment.

I cant vote on that poll ............ If i had to; currently; it would be close to the bla bla bla vote.

Other than that ........... i owe Dirk everything ......... he really was the wind in my sails.

But it is your journey, no elses ........... if your not individualistic, self-assured and determined...... rather work 9-5 am put your money in a pension

As a beginner, I am dependent on the Daily Briefing. It has helped me understand the fundamentals a bit better and has given me more confidence in my trading despite only trading a demo account at the moment. I hope to one day be self sufficient and not be so dependent on the Daily Briefing, but I expect it to always be a valuable resource that I look to on a regular bases regardless of how self sufficient I become.
