I'd like to say prior to reading BWILC and then later taking the mentoring program, I wasted at least 3 to 4 years of my life thinking I could get off going the cheap route.(Getting free trading systems from moneytec, and putting the latest indicator on my chart that I got from some popular fx forum. Downloading and buying books about Technical Analysis and locking myself in my room for many many hours on all weekends and hollidays until thought i had something to work with was how I wasted my time. All the time waiting for that AHA moment that never came. I even went and studied all that portfolio management garbage with risk model analysis. Hell,I was even ready to buy one of those NeuroShell software deals as a last resort.) After reading BWILC a hundred times the philosophy of it all made a lot of sence to me. In fact in a strange sort of way I'm glad I wasted all those years going in the wrong direction. Going in the wrong direction first, makes you appreciate how good it feels to be going in the right direction. I've actually become quite the fundamental junkie thanks to the mentoring course. I've built up good habits like writing a daily briefing (after spending hours trying to digest the fundamentals for direction). I used to just look at indicators, MACD's RSI's and everything else and trigger my trades based on what the chart was telling me with out a clue of what interest rates had to do with anything. I'd say if your thinking of taking the mentoring course, be prepared to give up your weekends and freetime to do a lot of hard work. Dirk gives you the direction and guidence but in order to become a good trader, you'll have to work hard and be patient. Learning how to trade BWILC style has also helped me in many other unrelated aspects of my life as well.
hahahhahaaaaa ............. i also wasted 4 years of my life on that same crap ..... prosignal, rapidforex, surefire forex , bunny girl system off moneytec , ....... and whatever you do, do not search for "high yeild investments" on google and send those f****ers money.
Thank god i finally found Dirk on the internet.
The money i lost was secondary ............ What really burnt me was the time i wasted, (that is the thing i am not going to get back).

My experiences of the past 4 1/2 years, learning to trade while trying NOT to lose a bunch of money in the process, have been somewhat like those of others who are posting here. I was introduced to all of the technical analysis, get rich quick, it's easy nonsense, but, I guess I was blessed with a bit too much common sense to really bite down too hard on any of that. Oh yeah, I tried it, but only with very small live accounts, low leverage, and demo accounts. I spent a lot of time just watching 18 different currency pairs change throughout the day, and writing down my thoughts about what I felt like was going on. I listened to people talk about the difference between technical trading and fundamental trading, and whatever else, but, I would just never take sides, as, I always felt like there was something missing on all sides. When I finally began to read Bird Watching in Lion Country, I was ready to hear something different from all that I had ever heard, and, I wasn't let down, in fact, the more I listen to what Dirk is teaching, the more I realize that I agree with his basic approach, and even with the the way he applies his perspective to actually trading the forex. I guess, if I were to sum up what I think Dirk is saying that is so great, is, that what we need as traders is an "edge", and then he proceeds to describe a really great "edge" and in great detail, so, if your really looking for an edge in your trading, you should find one in what he is talking about. Actually, any one of several of the concepts he teaches can help quite a bit, but, to put all of the ideas together into a whole system, is really to create an edge for your own trading, based on what he's teaching, and what more could you ask for?
I am very happy to confirm the coments of those who have already posted, over 4 years of get rich quick systems, made me a little bitter. I have now been with Dirk some two years and I can assure you this is the only way I will trade. As already said, you will have to work and build your own business, but thats what I wanted. They say (a DB a day keeps the bank manager at bay) I am very happy with my progress and am looking forward to a long and profitable future. As one learns and applies the 4x1 stratagy the more logical it becomes, you start thinking why can,t everybody else see it, it does take time but it is well worth it.
Well, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who literally through precious time out the window. (Misery likes company as they say) I'd also like to add that I previously thought I could finish the course in a month or so (In my prior pre-Dirk BWILC life) and then thought I would quickly live trade and start raking in the bucks. I'd like to say that this type of mind set is defenitly a pre-Dirk BWILC way of thinking. It reminds me of the few times I went to the gym in my life and pumped iron for a while all the time hoping for immediate results. (Big Muscles) It just doesn't work that way. What Dirk shows you is real. It's not quik and easy like EWMEADOWS said above. It's hard and something of quality and value takes time to learn perfect and hone. I think you'll find the transision slow but well worth the effort you put into it and continue to put into it as a lifetime endeavor.
