You can read some of my comments regarding the book and program under the book testimonial section ( It's hard to separate the two). Here I will elaborate more on the program.

The book is great by itself, but much like any great textbook, it becomes powerful in conjunction with the program. While the concepts in BWILC are simple, implementing them in real time in the hugely dynamic Forex market is a real challenge. It takes a lot of practice, patience and real diligence. Between the exercises and feedback you will certainly get the practice you need coupled with valuable insights to help you when the market has you confused (and it certainly will).

Dirk's daily briefing is invaluable to the novice. As time goes on, the student becomes increasingly capable of performing 4x1 analysis, and best of all, will start to see their dependence on the daily briefings decrease. This magical moment, performing market analysis independently is what every trader should be shooting for.

This program isn't like most of the others that promise you "huge returns" without requiring your effort. Such programs may get lucky for awhile, but are really only designed to enrich the creator while playing on the greed and laziness of the average consumer. Here, you will need to work, but as with most things in life the hard work pays off.

After my initial period ran out, I didn't hesitate to become a life member, I found it that good. As I stated in my review of BWILC, my investment in the mentoring program has already paid me back 10 fold. And while there are no guarantees in life, I think Dirk's signature says it best "Chance favors the prepared trader" . . . . get prepared.

I have now been in the program for several months and trading live on a very small starter account for the past 3-4.  Unlike many other posters, I had very little prior experience before signing up under Dirk.  It is money very well spent.  Not only do I now feel very confident in starting my first trading account, but I feel that the method I have been taught is 'real', and not just another get-rich-quick scheme.  Dirk challenges you to think for yourself, and to recognize that there are no absolutes in forex.

Most other mentors and systems I have seen online offer simple A-B-C steps to follow, while in the mentoring program, you are always challenged to prepare for the unexpected, and to keep things in perspective.  Throughout the progam, Dirk provides great 1-on-1 help and feedback on questions and ideas that each person might have.  Daily briefings help to reinforce and present examples of the many concepts that are discussed in BWILC and the other mentoring materials.  Prior to the program, I had little knowledge of forex and trading.  Now, however, I feel very capable of analyzing market moves and data, planning future trades, and effectively managing my risk.  Had I not signed up under the program, I might instead be wasting time and money chasing after a new system of fancy indicators, or trading on the advice of some subscription service.

In the movie "Wallstreet", Hal Holbrook tells Charlie Sheen that any fool can make money in a bull market.  It's how you handle a bear markets that counts.   If succeeding in the LONG run is your goal, reading BWILC and following Dirk's program may be the only way.  There is a lot of posturing among so-called gurus in the market, but we should be soberly aware (the recent loss of 70% of Victor Niederhoffer's hedge fund comes to mind) that the race is won by deliberation, patience and preparation--all the things Dirk's progam emphasize.

Kudos to you, Dirk, for not only being a successful trader in a market that makes roadkill commonplace, but also for your tireless efforts to pass along what you know.   Communication and mentoring in multiple languages requires remarkable skill and diligence.  We who are smart enough to listen and benefit salute you.

Together with the book BWILC we entered into the Docs mentoring program.Went back to Forex Trading school and it has been a fantastic journey. The exercises which I have completed during my mentoring program to date, back up all the facts in BWILC. Eg. Stop Loss does not work

A monitoring task which proved the above was such a huge eye opener and worth every bit of effort.Trade in one direction and never against the trend. Trade one currency, 1 lot, 1 percent, not only taking profits but using the Median Grid.

The mentoring exercise, Median Grid Trading Tactics, which includes Risk Management differences, has been invaluable to myself. The trades that I have conducted with this methodology have been excellent.

The Daily Briefings we receive from the Doc each day are fantastic. The knowledge and experience of my mentor is great to have.To me any person who is able and willing to share any kind of knowledge is worthy of praise. The Doc certainly is one of these individuals.

My mentor is available on Skype, via email or when need be on the telephone. He is always willing and definitely able to help me with advice and direction.
Any serious new comer to the world of Forex Trading will benefit from The Docsmentorship program.

After reading the other posts I don't think I'm able to add much more...

Other than if you want to earn a living trading (or just some extra $) then you are at the right place to learn. Dirk provides all the tools you need, its not a trading system its much much more than that, it is a blue print that you can tweak to suit yourself (within reason) and be comfortable that you will become over time a profitable trader month in month out.

I am very satisfied with Dirks mentoring programme.I was impressed by his book BWILC and his arguments especially about the pitfalls of to high margin and leverage and liked the concept of median trading. Since I signed up with his mentoring programme he supplied a wealth of information and step by step instructions and tests with regards to the mysteries of Forex trading. I have put a toe in the water and started real time(with money) median trading and in three weeks I have made 1440 pips all winning trades apart from 2 where I pushed the wrong buttons I still have problems with fundamental analysis and interpreting the conflicting news stories but buing in the dips and selling at a profit makes sense and works

Dirk's programme is one of a kind and the book is no doubt excellently written with solid intellectual contents. The exercises in the programme and the value of the 4x1 strategy cannot be underestimated. This structure gives a safety ground to experiment a perceived very risky business (if doing blind) and a level of confidence in a new subject that I have never experienced before.

Also, the design of the programme is well thought out to cater for the need of his mentees and the focus of the mentoring exercises was put on effectively "preparing our minds" for absorbing the knowledge. Let alone the intellectual contents, this design itself put this mentoring programme in a class of its own.

In a short six months, I started trading real money with real result that I never imagined.

Many thanks to you, Dirk. Your contribution to us is second to none!

Thanks Dirk,
This program has changed the way I look at trading and has given me a solid basis to build on to progress into a successful trader. Like all training it all boils down to how much effort you put into the course. And this is no different. The material supplied by Dirk is first rate, well thought out and progress in a logical manner that leads you to understanding the medium trading technique, the 4x1 strategy, risk management, fundamental analysis.

With Dirks mentoring I look forward to becoming a self sufficient and successful trader.

mdriessen, you have done really well!!!!!!!!

My first three weeks of live trading based on Dirk's program nearly resulted in me having a nervous breakdown.

Well i am still here 2 years later. It would be too long a story to tell you about the last 2 years, other than to say trading, learning and life are all very personnel.... well lets just say i was more focused on enjoying myself than paying attentnion to my trading, and looking back on it now i recall the time of the nervous break down i had actually given up employment to work as a trader, (probably not the best move if you have only just read the book).

Otherwise here are a few corny quotes for you..... everything happens for a reason, and at the correct time.... lifes a journey.... everyones different... etc, etc, blaa, blaa, blaa

If you want to trade fx buy the book and get on the mentoring program

Regards

Simon

I will try to be brief on this one. I found out about BWILC and Dirk while researching training options after going to a fx seminar (stay away from them if you can). Lets  put it this way. I wish i had read the ebook before going to the seminar. I immediately signed up for mentoring with Dirk and i am happy i did. I believe that if i had gone elsewhere i would not be trading today. Dirks program prepares you for the long haul of trading. No get rich quick deal as promised by the marketing wizards. i had never traded before dirk, I did not even know what pips really were. I was a complete newbie...the real deal. Anyway i am still in 11 months later. I am currently trading live part time successfully using dirks system. I know if i apply the system 100% i would be even more successful. Dirk, you are doing a awesome job. Keep up the good work. biggrin

Dirk
I really want to thank you for your service and in sparking my interest in macro economics. This is a great concept for your forum:

KRC=Knowledge, Responsibility, Control. They form a triangle, one cannot exist without the other. When you bring up one point of the triangle, the other 2 points will rise. When you have more knowledge of a subject or area, you thusly can take more control, followed by more responsibility. I feel this has happened for me being in your group.

Ive put my own financial house more in order over the last year.

Best,
Steve DePaoli

I am an Intermediate member and am hoping to go live in January. What I can say though is the mentor experience has been absolutely amazing... my eyes have been opened to a while new way of looking at the markets and I feel that my view now is so much stringer on what directions the markets are travelling. this is due to the outstanding Daily Briefings which I receive everyday which gives us an outlook on what the market is doing but more importantly the fact that Dirk asks me to write my own DB's which is forcing me to understand the markets.

Dirk is always there to help and answer any questions I have... he answers in a way anyone can understand. His course is very structured and has a clear path to success and the overall content is everything any trader will ever need to get on the road to success.

This is by no means a course that you can do in 2 days and trade a system and make money. You have to put in your own effort and learn to use your own brain. This has the advantage of ensuring that once you know how to read the market you will always be able to make money as it is your own brain and not someone elses.

Without a shadow of a doubt the best thing anyone can do for their trading career.

I don't want to repeat what have already been said in the posts above. Instead, I'll give you my own experience.

I consider myself an experienced long-term investor in the stock market. I've been investing for 20 years. By "long-term" I mean I basically buy-and-hold. So, up to Dec-2006/Jan-2007, I had no experience in short-term trading, and I knew nothing about forex.

In the last few years, I began to read more and more financial news using terms such as "carry trade" that I had no idea what they were talking about. In Dec-2006 or Jan-2007, I saw an ad in the newspaper about a free seminar on forex trading. I was intrigued. So I went.

The seminar was given by a forex broker house. In the first part of the seminar, the speaker gave us a very brief intro to forex, which was okay. But then he began to talk about 50:1, 100:1 leverage. Finally, there was a sales pitch. They offered a course to teach what they called "3-points/2-lines" trading strategy. (3 points = entry point, take profit point & stop loss point; 2 lines = support line & resistance line.) It was $xxxx dollars for yy days. If I signed up right there, I'd get zz% discount.

I was very skeptical. The part that really worried me was the 50:1, 100:1 leverage. I didn't sign up. I went home and began to research.

I went to the bookstore and bought a book or two. I borrowed a bunch of books from the local library. I searched on the web. I visited many on-line forums. I must've spent weeks. Everywhere I looked, I saw (A) You can make money easy and fast; (B) 50:1, 100:1, 400:1!

Until I stumbled upon BWILC by pure chance. What does BWILC says! Low leverage! Hard work!!

Aha!!!

If you are already an experienced trader, maybe you can read BWILC and that's all you need. But for me, BWILC was still too theoretical, and I was unable to apply it in real life trading even after reading it 2 times. So, I joined Dirk's mentoring program in March 2007. BWILC is good, but the mentoring program is even better, much better.

Under Dirk's guidance, I began live trading in July, starting with a small capital, and slowly adding more capital as I gained more experience and confidence. As of end of last month (Nov-2007), my equity was +15% above my capital. I consider that great success since I started out as a complete novice in forex. There is no way I could learn so much in 9 months without Dirk. (BTW, I have an 8-hour day job, and can only spend about 2 hours per day on average on forex. So, I guess +15% profit in such a short time is not bad.)

In addition to all the points that have been mentioned in the post above, I want to emphasize the following:

(1) The best part of Dirk's mentoring program is that he teaches you to own your own brain. By "own your own brain", I mean he teaches you to do your own analysis and plan your own trades. It is HARD work. If you want easy money, this is not the place for you.

(2) Dirk started this web site about 2 months ago. I found it extremely valuable. For those new students who are joining now, you are getting twice as much (mentoring + this web site) for the same amount of tuition!

(3) For me, learning about forex widens my view on investing. It greatly enhances my overall investment.

I can still not believe my success thus far!!! Only one month in the propgram now. (July 08 class)

I am making the change to a winning mindset as I really was down and out on the loosing side as my acoount was withering away fast! Must admit I think If my gearing was lower from the start I would have been more successful!!!

Thank you thus far!!! I can see, as you said when I came to see you, that there is still hope for me! Whats more amazing to me is that I did it on my own without trade alerts etc. Based my trading as mentioned solely on fundamentals with regards to the Daily Pfenning news letter and BWILC 4 1 strategy principles with the grid.

Real account performace for June (from 9 June to 27 June. See I was scepticle at 1st and did not trade live emidiately) 1505 pips (YES No Mistake 1505 pips and no loosing trades!!!!!) and Demo account performance for June (from 1 June to 27 June) 2033 pips (Yes No Mistake 2033 and no loosing trade!!!!) and STILL GOING STRONG! AT LAST!!!!

Thanks thanks thanks!

Yes I Agree. BWILC alone is not enough.

The Mentor program teaches you to make a PARADIGM shift when it comes to trading. This paradigm shift is important to apply the principles of BWILC.

Safe Trading

Like many that lose money consistency, I was trading and testing many technical systems. My profits vanished before my eyes and my stop loss locked in my losses. But now, my thinking has changed. I came upon BWILC simply by chance. A friend emailed me and said "here is a rare find." I read it and joined the mentoring program. Using a fundamental approach and carefully monitoring my thinking with the 4X1 approach by reading the daily briefing and started "cutting my profits and letting my losses run" my accounts are now building in a positive direction.

I think that the biggest eye opener to me was a randomness exercise. I was asked to predict future price action by flipping a coin. In 1000 tries and observations of price action I found that flipping a coin was more accurate than any of the technical systems that I had previously used. Now I do not use that method in my trading, but at that point I was tempted.

Dirk, thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge: To me, the value offered is worth many times the price paid.
