An insight into the programme from a novice trader

I was new to trading and looking to get some decent training in Forex before I opened a live account.  Whilst the is a lot of garbage on the web about forex and quick win solutions, the thing that attracted me to Dirk's programme was the honesty that came through from reading BWILC.  The mentoring was reasonably priced, so I thought I'd go for it and take a chance.  So far things have gone fairly well -  I'm still a long way from being a successfull forex trader, but one things for certain I have developped new skills, had fun along the way and have developped key skills in relational analysis (the ability to relate real-time events to price dynamics).

The mentorship program for me involved various stages,  lots of self analysis,  studying of how the market price dynamics work on a daily / inter-day basis and hands on experience on a demo account until I reached the point whereby I could devise a sensible plan for how I will trade my choosen currency.   One of the most usefull aspects of the programme is Dirk's daily briefing which provides an insight into the market dynamics through Dirks eyes.  The thing I like most is the fact that Dirk doesn't spoon feed you anwers or recommended trades.  His methods are all geared around thinking for yourself, like a junior trader working under the mentorship of the chief trader.

Well I am now live trading with a small account and whilst I am not making lots of money as yet, I can honestly say that I have come from complete novice, been through lots of turbulence, especially during August when we saw the effects of the credit crunch and during this time I've gained a whole lot of experience and knowledge about the forex market under the watchfull eye of an excellent coach.  Whilst I have made several mistakes during the last few months, I'm still around to tell the tale and with an account balance slightly up from where I started.   Contrast this with the fact that 25% of high leveraged traders went bust during the recent credit crisis, and the fact that many in this forum tell tales of their initial start in forex where they lost money.  All in all I am probably off to a good start in my trading career.

Anyway I am now working towards the aim of turning in a decent profit by the end of the year and hopefully I will be posting again soon with the news of healthy returns and the fact I have paid off my tuition fees from a modest starting account size.  Look out for my posts in the future.... but for now I say that if your a complete novice and looking for an education on how to trade forex, then from my experiences so far I would definately recommend this mentorship programme.
